Implants » Single Tooth Implants
Implants can be used to replace a single tooth. The ideal time to place an implant in the bone is 6-12 weeks after tooth loss, but it is frequently possible to place an implant years after the tooth is extracted.
Once the implant has integrated into the bone, a connecting unit called an abutment can be attached and then a crown is placed on top. This restores the appearance and the function of the original tooth.
