Implants » Multiple Tooth Implants
Implants can be used to replace multiple teeth using bridges to connect implants together. As in the single tooth case, the implants are placed in the bone and allowed to integrate.
Then impressions are taken to construct the bridgework, which connects the implants together in just the same way as conventional bridges are used to connect teeth together.
The bridges can be made as one large section, which is a stronger overall structure than its individual parts, or in smaller sections of bridgework which is easier if repairs are needed in the future.
The decision to use one large bridge or several smaller bridges would depend on several factors including bone quality and would be tailored to your individual needs following a thorough assessment.
