Liam hails originally from County Derry, Northern Ireland. He studied dentistry at Manchester University, qualifying in 1998. He worked his first few years in practice in Rochdale. He followed this by spending some time working in Australia gaining valuable skills and also a useful perspective on his undergraduate training.
On his return in 2002 he joined Romiley Dental Practice as an associate and went on to become a partner in 2004.
In 2006 he became an Educational Supervisor for the North West Deanery, supporting newly qualified dentists in their first year in practice. To date Liam has trained 8 dentists at Romiley Dental Practice.
He gained his qualification from the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF) in 2009. In the same year he led the Romiley Dental Practice Scheme to the BDA Good Practice Scheme award, which they still hold today.
He studied Dental Implants for 12 months with Professor Cemal Ucer at Trafford General in 2010-2011, gaining a great foundation in the placement of implants.
He is a member of several professional bodies including the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI), the International Team for Implants (ITI) and the Local Dental Committee for Stockport.
Liam lives with his wife Helen and their two children Cillian and Patrick. He has many interests including squash, travelling, walking and reading.
